Jordan Zager, PhD, is identifying key genetic markers in cannabis related to pathogens, pest attacks, terpenes and cannabinoid profiles. We discuss a gene they recently discovered for making cannabis resistant to powdery mildew and how the future of plant genetics will impact the cannabis industry.
